Future Students from another College/university

Transferring from another University or College

Please make an appointment to see an advisor immediately with the following documents:

Unofficial Transcripts

We will accept unofficial transcripts of previous college work or grade reports for initial advisement and placement purposes. These are used to determine exemption from assessment or prerequisites. However, a transcript hold will be placed on your record for the next term until an official transcript is sent to the Office of Admissions and Registration. Please submit official stamped or sealed unopened transcripts in person to CCQ Office of Admissions and Registration.

Official Transcripts (Preferred)

While unofficial transcripts may be accepted for initial registration, official transcripts must be received within 30 days of seeing a counselor/advisor or enrolling in classes, whichever comes first. Official transcripts are needed for any of the following purposes:

Acceptance of transfer work: Students seeking acceptance of transfer credit toward a degree or certificate should send an official transcript to the Office of Admissions and Registration at the time their Educational Plan is filed.

NOTE: Official transcripts should not be sent to the Office of Admissions and Registration until an application has been submitted. Please submit official stamped or sealed unopened transcripts in person to CCQ Office of Admissions and Registration.

College Transcripts from a College outside of the United States

If a student is wishing to apply coursework from colleges taken in other countries outside of the United States toward a CCQ certificate or degree, a course-by-course evaluation by an acceptable agency is needed. A general evaluation for United States Equivalency will NOT be accepted for transfer credit. CCQ does not have the expertise or the staff to evaluate transcripts from institutions outside of the United States. CCQ will accept translation and evaluation services from members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). For information regarding NACES, membership criteria, and NACES' guiding principles of good practice for educational credential evaluation please visit http://www.naces.org.

For a list of current members of NACE and approved evaluation services, please visit http://www.naces.org

CCQ must have an official copy of an acceptable evaluation on file to transfer credit towards a CCQ certificate or degree. Please submit official evaluations in sealed unopened envelopes in person to the CCQ Office of Admissions and Registration.
